Role of Electric fields in interfacial phase-change memory

Te-Te RDF with time

Abstract

The effect of of an external electric field on structural rearrangements in four proposed structures for interfacial phase-change memory are investigated using density-functional theory-based ab-inito molecular dynamics. The figure above shows the evolution of the Te-Te partial radial distribution function with time in the proposed Ferro structure.
